Toma Ikuta, Kumiko Aso star in "Seaside Motel"

Yukio Okada's manga "MOTEL" is being turned into a live-action film, starring popular young actor Toma Ikuta (24). This is Ikuta's second movie role, after the Osamu Dazai adaptation "Ningen Shikkaku" ("No Longer Human") which is scheduled for release next year.

This new movie is titled "Seaside Motel," set in a motel that is curiously named Seaside despite being surrounded by mountains. Ikuta plays Kameda, a traveling salesman who peddles questionable cosmetic products. His female lead is Kumiko Aso (31), playing a call girl named Candy whose popularity is already fading even before she hits the age of thirty. The two happen to meet at Seaside, and Kameda falls in love.

The manga is full of distinctive characters, but none of the film's supporting cast have been announced, other than stage actors Masaaki Akahori and Seiji Nozoe, playing a pair of cops.

"Seaside Hotel" is being directed by Kentaro Moriya, whose only other feature-length film is the 2005 picture "School Daze." Filming already started on August 30 in Guam. Theatrical release is scheduled for sometime in 2010.

Toma hit the big screen..Oguri direct at big screen..??!!

It's been couple of weeks the Ikuta Toma's Society from the Ning.com network is turned off by the admin..It's quite disappointing because i did took lots of material from that website.. as you might notice previously, there's suppose to be a slide show of Toma's picture at the top of the blog post..since i just copy the html code from the website, the slide show is now no longer working..sob2...

I'm sort of digging Toma's news right now..but there's not much update about him..I don't know if i might miss anything..juz remind me there's something important about toma is not published here,nei..

Tomagoto VS. Gypsy Duff!!!

These two celebrities had totally thrilled me as both of them had sort of changed my life. Literally, it’s not that they had made me rich or something! It’s just that they had color my routine and even affected my charismatic and personality (that’s you Hilary!).

When I was only 12, I was amaze on Hilary’s sensation as she hit the screen for the first time as the innocent Lizzie McGuire! Well, guess what? She had just made me fall in love to English. So, I kept putting my best effort on enhance my language skill so that there will be no problems as we are facing each other soon! How crazy is that? Well that was my dream when I was only 12. As I grown up, I had notice, it is kinda impossible for me to meet her as she is scorching hot and damn successfully in the Hollywood now, and obviously, she can never hang out with me for a cup of tea or even a snap of picture! Hahaha! Even I was kinda heart broken; I put on my don’t-give-up face and just go on supporting her as a die-hard fan. My spirit on mastering the language does not blow away. I kept on writing, talking, public speaking, debate, school play, emailing with my cousin from Milwaukee, become the editor for school magazine and all sort of thing that can be done with English. Well, here I am. I can at least ovoid myself from being cheated due to communication problem. Yokatta! Well, thanks a lot to Hilary Duff for being the ice breaker!

However, Toma just couldn’t help me on mastering the Japanese language! (I never expect it, though). Let me define Toma Ikuta. He is a talented-in-acting-and-singing cute guy, with red hair who successfully become a young billionaire of Japan through his commitment under Johnny’s Entertainment, plus accomplish with bunch of smash hit drama and plays/theatre. He used to get involve in play since he’s featured in Cat in Red Boot, followed by Grease the latest musical play. Brilliant, huh? He had just expanded his singing talent from recording artiste into musical theatre of career! In addition, everybody is assuming that his happy-go lucky-guy attitude make him suitable with those funny character such as Nakatsu Shuichi (Hanazakari no Kimitachi e) and Oribe Junpei (Hana Yori Dango 2). However, his mysterious appearance in Maou as Serizawa Naoto had seriously thrilled us! Plus, his new appear in drama Voice (still aired in Japan until March 2009) which is a ghost story (!!!) had totally denied the fact that he’s not flexibly talented. (Come on, can peoples crack a joke in a scary movie! [Instead Scary Movies]). When he shows-of his football skills in Hanazakari no Kimitachi and Johnny’s Entertainment Sports Day, I whispered to myself; “Dude, this lucky good-looking guy is darn talented and bloody genius! I wanted to be and look like him!”

Both Hilary Duff and Toma Ikuta are literally brilliant in making billion of money as both of them conquered singing and acting field. However, the entrepreneur Hilary Duff was more advance in making money as compared to Toma-Kun as she use to get involve in business stuff when she was officially launch his self-brand clothes line and dog stuff (Stuff by Hilary Duff), own title magazine (Hilary Stuff) and double appearance of With Love; perfume and single.

Let see, I had done almost everything that these to celebrities had accomplish. I got in choir, involve as director and narrator in a national play, as a Marketing Manager of School Company, singing in bathroom (LOL!), make perfume for Art subject project,…did I left anything undone?

ORICON:fresh actors to keep an eye on..Toma-Kun no. at second last of the list???!!

Several weeks ago, Oricon polled a group of 300 high school girls about up-and-coming young actors. The women were asked to identify which "fresh" actors they have been paying close attention to.

#1 was Takeru Sato, who first got his break as the star of "Kamen Rider Den-O." He has recently picked up a few major television roles in dramas such as "Bloody Monday" and "Mei-chan no Shitsuji."

Ranked 2nd was the highly popular Hiro Mizushima, who also appeared in "Mei-chan no Shitsuji." Haruma Miura, the star of "Bloody Monday," was #3.

DREAM: too good to be true..

I don't know whether it's a good dream or bad dream. But I was dreaming about toma today!

The good news, I was dreaming that we're in the same faculty where everybody is about to take a test for future career, I guess. In that room, there was bunch of artiste too, but I forgot who were they. I do realize that it was a dream, so i decide to have a snap with Toma-Kun before i wake up! Haha! Crazy, huh?

The bad news, well, as the test come to a end, the emergency bell had totally ruin my plan! He agreed to take picture with me but, as i got someone to handle the camera, suddenly he was gone! Sob2...At first, i do said that that he's selfish and proud because felt bother about his own dedicating fan! But as afterward i found out that there was like another dozen fan was chase after him, I just understand his condition and i do realize that my dream was just too good to be true + I do realize that I was dreaming! hoho! 

By the way, for god sake, don't they bother about the fire alarm?LOL!

Still, i don't really mind about that even I do felt a little disappointed, but as i woke up, what did popup in my mind was to write about it in my blog! hoho! Just wanna record one of the historical day as toma fan. As i remember, I was dreaming about Toma was 2 times including this one!

More Update on 'No Longer Human'!

Anyhow, speaking of Toma achievement, yesterday I posted the article about the Toma hit the big screen news. Well, I got the follow-up news from Kate (credit: Toma Love! Admin; www.ikutatomalove.blogspot.com), she had provide us some information and links about the upcoming movie.


From her speculation, the movie might be a blast because the storyline might be a little interesting since the title; ‘No Longer Human’ had portrayed us a rough picture of the movie might be.

I got no permanent official source of Toma-Kun since I'm not really use to buy all Japan Online Magazine and I'm not really understand their language. But Ever since Toma is a really great worldwide sensation, I can now dig for his news, gossip and much more just trough the network!

Just wanna thanks a lot to Kate for letting all Toma fan know that Toma will come out with a new movie! Well, it's time already for you to hit the big screen ,Toma! The title is Ningen Shikkaku. But I'm not really sure if he's the main role or just the supporting actor.

REVIEW: Majo Saiban@ The Witch Trial

Just ended a petrifying moment watching Majo Saiban Episode 1! Don’t you know that the series is still airing at Japan every Saturday @11.30pm?! And I’m watching most up-to-date episode of the series in Malaysia! Well, the dorama just most likely another version of NCIS+CSI+Maou. Thanks to mysoju.com!

The suspense element was fully along the timeline and it just makes us wanted to know what will turn out then. At first, it’s kinda tiresome because things just happen as if you had already miss the last episode even you’re watching the first episode! Besides, the comedy element was likely undelivered just like in Honey and Clover.

But, when the suspicion exposed, the impact was just like BBBBAAANNGGG!!!!! (I’m not good in delivering hyperbola) Actually, the defendant was arrested and now stranded in jail. Isn’t it insane when all the chaoses happen outside was actually trigger by her? Of coz the witch got no dark magic literally. She’s actually set up bunch of spies out there to watch over the lay judge of her in case. Woo, that’s frightening…

Toma is a bad boy?!

LOL! I had just watched Hana Yori Dango 2 Episode 1! Em, just killing time since I got nothing to do tonight. Best af all, Toma is in the episode of coz! I still remember the first time i watched to dorama, I never thought that Toma will play a really bad role in that movie! Well, believe me, he did! He such a crap and dicks, anyway,

By the way, there's something really funny that i wish to share with you guys about the movie! Well, just check out on the screen shot i brought for you! LOL! I can't barely breath as the word pop up on my screen!

I reckon, it suppose to be, [place for F4 only] right? ohoho!

Well, you know, most Japanese are not really good at English. But anyhow, i can't barely stop from amaze on this dorama since everything is damn rich and luxury!

By the way, i still dig on the picture where Junpei-Kun and Makino was featured in Treasures cover. I looking for it everywhere but still no way to have an original shot one. Well, if you got them, can you please hand them to me, so that i can complete my gallery, na~!



No wonder Japan Drama always comes in a really high quality since they never bother to spend lots of money to rock out on. Well, well, can you name me bunch od drama at you country which feature on TV, consequently hit the DVDs stores + OST album?! It's not that I'm not supporting our local product, I guess our industry need to learn something. It's quite risky to get out of the box, but you shall never regret how massive the return could be! Well, not to mention only in these entertainment things, of coz it's something to do with your life too!

I'm watching lots of movies and dramas. Well, mostly, people might said that, it's such a waste of time. But as for me, it's not the main agenda of your life right? It's just for fun! Something to with moral value adapt in a really interesting way!

[Spring 2009 Drama] Majo Saiban CM

Toma Ikuta is back again, after VOICE. I think I like this drama.I kinda don't recognize if this is dark or something, but definitely it's going to be good. The drama is called Majo Saiban (Witch Trial??). Watch this very short CM and see Toma's SUGOI hair. SUGOI. Hontou ni sugoi ne.XD I'm liking him more. It started with Hana Kimi (not so much in Hana Yori Dango), then it died during Honey and Clover (cause I din't like him much there :|), and back again in Maou! But there I don't find him such a cutie anymore, but a gorgeous good-looking man. AND here, what can I say? He looks more mature and oh my god, very ADORABLE. his hair! LOVE IT!



In "Majo Saiban," Ikuta plays a typical part-timer with little interest in social issues. However, he is unexpectedly chosen as a juror in the trial of a suspected female murderer. While the mystery surrounding the case unfolds, an unknown group is secretly attempting to bribe the jury.

Actress Ai Kato plays a housewife who is also selected as a juror, while Manami Higa plays Ikuta's girlfriend, a newspaper reporter. Yuriko Ishida takes on the role of the accused.

Fuji TV will air "Majo Saiban" on Saturday nights at 11:10pm. The series starts on April 25, about a month before the actual jury system goes into effect.
